Not yet, first the statues, then the museums and libraries. Where One Burns books, One Burns people. And it will not stop with confederate sympathizers. I'm sorry if I'm so cynical, but I do have a history degree and recognize these patterns.

Had to look up the word "pogrom" and it's very disturbing to see one aspect of it's origins stems from anti-Semitism in Europe. Any group, left or right, going around using this terminology as part of their agenda are either clearly ignorant or they truly are representing the extremism in our country.

Yes, it's it's a Russian word. It does have an ugly history but it also describes what's happening in the streets and on the airwaves.

This is just too my supposition but I believe the writer of the article use the word as clickbait for exactly that reason. Doesn't change the substance of the article one bit in my humble opinion.
