Brief Glimpse of the Civil Rights movement in Milwaukee led by Fr Groppi (Catholic Priest) Note the prominent display of the Confederate Flag. Many African-Americans said after the era that the reason Milwaukee did not burn in race riots was Fr. Groppi. Chief Brier was an abuser and was later replaced in the early 1980's after the police force beat to a pulp a suspected Homosexual (James Schomperlin? not sure on the name).
