I have just started reading this (A Peoples History). It is an interesting read and I think everyone would get something out of it whether you agree or disagree with the author.

The book does give an interesting perspective on US History but you must go into realizing this is revisionist history. He does not provide references for any of his stories which any reliable historian would do.
