Michael began his journey in Project Management working for Cray Research, Inc. in Eagan, MN, began to apply the principles to other endeavors, and later became the V.P. of Marketing at a small consulting company in Austin, Texas that specialized in Project Management Training/Consulting. From 2000 until 2004, he helped increase the process maturity capability level working as a Sr. Project Officer in the PMO for the Texas Department of Human Services. In April of 2004, Michael launched PM Mentors (full time), and have also continued teaching Project Management for the University of Texas and St Edwards University in Austin, Texas. Helping people learn and understand things has always been important to him. Over the past several years many people have encouraged Michael to pursue my passion for teaching. Students who attended my college courses, as well as colleagues whom he teaches alongside, became the inspiration for the birth of PM Mentors.

As a part-time college adjunct instructor for several years, Michael realized that teaching was his true calling. His position at the State of Texas, also enabled him to teach Project Management and Quality principles. Michael started to get referrals and calls from companies and colleagues that also needed help training their staff. So, actually, his customers created PM Mentors by asking Michael to come and help them. And for that Michael is most grateful!
