Those Brits who might have helped their nation find its way back, to rediscover its proud history and its "backbone", have long since left the Island and emigrated to America. So have freedom loving people from all over the world. While We the People of the United States of America have benefited, been strengthened by this immigration to our shores, it has helped seal the fates of the lands they have left. Britain had its reign, but it is done. Islam will dominate there. Indeed, it's almost there. Same for much of the rest of the world unless they rediscover themselves. Hopefully, We'll be able to help them as we have done in the past.

America was born of distrusting the government. We were constitutionally guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms so that tyrannical government could not ignore the will of the people. Our cultures while born of the same DNA are not the same. Just as we should respect another's right to their opinion in the U.S. we should respect another nation's right to choose their own fate when it comes to personal defense. If an American does not want to be in a society that has been disarmed, then perhaps visiting those nations is a bad idea. I appreciate you posting this as I always carry a pocket knife, and I am taking a trip to Scotland next year. I need to make sure that I don't get arrested for my Swiss Army Knife.
