Back when I lived in Iowa, my wife had written a prescription for 10 oxycodone for a "patient". Later in the day, she received a call from the pharmacy asking if she really wanted to give the gentleman 10,000 tablets at one time. Somehow a few extra zero's had been added to the prescription during the car ride to the pharmacy. Of course the hand carried prescription did not match the one she had faxed to the pharmacy that morning. What's the old saying "You can't fix stupid".

It's really true. We are our own worst enemies. All of us. Europe is feeding itself into the gaping maw of Stone Age killers. We are anxious to follow them. Until then, we poison ourselves and surrender our greatest gifts in exchange for empty promises and illusions. How different are we really, from the addict?

CPT Jack Durish have seen you state this before and have never doubted your wisdom or the statement. Fro our PC leanings to this epidemic- you can only run from reality so long before it catches you.

Maj Marty Hogan - It's borrowed wisdom, bored from Walt Kelly. I grew up reading Pogo and miss it dearly. Kelly not only demonstrated wisdom but also great courage. He took on Sen McCarthy and his House Unamerican Activities Committee while everyone else was cowering. Interestingly, he got them to laugh at themselves. The fools never really understood that they were the butt of the joke
