I seriously investigated TM but the only place that offered to teach me cost hundreds of dollars and required me to make an offering to whoever started this. I don't worship anyone but Heavenly Father. And I don't think it take a hundreds of dollars to teach someone TM unless you were all about the money.

I know that. The offering was what got to me. I didn't think that should be necessary and it felt weird. Them there's still the money part.

Well said, Lynda. My Mom went to a New Age meeting once to learn TM and get a spirit guide. This was before she became a Christian. Her take was NEVER mess around with this. Ever.

I believe TM is a good tool. I am a Christian and my church supports using TM. That's why I believe the must be somewhere I can learn the technique without the spiritualism.

Y'all I am by no means an expert at meditation, I am a rank amateur. However, I some of the things I have involved myself in the last year or so have you meditate. I am still not very good at it but I think I am light years from where I was. I was very skeptical when I first started, however, over time I have found that I am better able to keep some of my issues a leash.
I am trying to get as educated as I can on the different breathing techniques in conjunction with meditation and of course fitness. I think it is/could be a huge asset for our guys who have brought back a rucksack full of issues, I am convinced.
