I was raised a Catholic. The Pope is the head of the Church whose infallibility was defined dogmatically in the First Vatican Council of 1869–1870. That doctrine of Infallibility , or speaking Ex Cathedra, was never questioned by Catholics in as it pertains to Canon Law. However, the infallibility of the Pope does NOT naturally extend to the Temporal realm of Politics. According, the Pope is welcome to his opinions on Temporal matters.

SPC Erich Guenther
Most especially his extremist views on climate change being induced by man which I think also crosses the line into theology a ways as it implies that man is in complete control of what happens on Earth. I find his support of man made climate change not only contrary to science but also contrary to the religion he is supposed to be the head of. The way I look at it though, not the first Pope we have had that has gone off the rails though.

SPC Erich Guenther - he is a Jesuit First, a Peronist Second and a Pope Third. Anyone who has ever dealt with the Society of Jesus knows what I am talking about

LTC Orlando Illi - Yes I know Jesuits have always been a problem and have to be reined in from time to time......we all saw this in Central America in the 1980's.

SPC Erich Guenther - I don't ascribe to the Liberation Theology as espoused by both Peronists and Jesuits. When I was in Catholic High School a Jesuit was the Principal. I was a 15 year old wise assume kid. This Jesuit tried to slap me and I deflected his blow. I was put on a months detention. I left Catholic School the next year. I lost respect for Jesuits at that time.
