My wife is a Brit and her Dad was a retired RAF Officer. I had the chance to meet one of the pilots from the Battle of Britain about 10 years ago. What a treat. When he walked in the room, you knew who he was. He was a smaller framed gentleman, in very good shape. White hair, neatly combed and a moustache properly groomed. He walked with a bit of a swagger. He had on gray slacks and a classic blue blazer. He had some great stories about flying in the Battle of Britain.

So this kind of gentleman who was probably a widow probably had a girlfriend too right?

LTC (Join to see) I hope that they pull the Spitfires that flew for Battle Of Brittain day out and fly for this man's funeral. Rest in Peace sir.
On a side note, never tell an old person what is and is not appropriate to say, they don't give a shit, and have nothing to lose. They should have known better than to tell him no dirty jokes.

PO3 Steven Sherrill
LTC (Join to see) - He was talking to Prince William. I don't care much about the British Royals, but William and Harry present themselves as being more down to earth than stuffy royal. I imagine that William got a chuckle from the joke.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - since they also both were in the military, I'm sure they were able to speak the down-to-earth guys who talked vulgarities all the time.
