LTC Stephen F. In 1966, the group suffered a setback when John Fogerty and Doug Clifford, having received draft notices, enlisted in the military. Fogerty joined the Army Reserve while Clifford joined the United States Coast Guard Reserve. Origins of the Name Tom Fogerty's friend Credence Newball, whose name they changed to form the word Creedence (as in creed); a television commercial for Olympia beer ("clear water"); 1969 I was 11 and Yes this was one of My Favorites Even Then. I was a Street Urchin, College Hill, Cincinnati, OH. I used to Hang Out in a Head Shop on Hamilton Ave Next to the Drug Store.

PO3 Bob McCord - I'm Much Later but I remember the USO Shows in My Time were Pretty Cheesy but it was nice to have some one come visit from Outside. Now the USO in the Basement of the Continental Hotel in Dubai. Give me an IV Drip of Fosters Lager and I'm Good. The Restaurant there is Pretty Good. Talking About Radios, I Remember the First Crystal Radio I Made and the Song that was Playing.
