Interesting - but how do they know whose DNA is whose from people thousands of years ago?
Also, you have to remember that Canaan was the son of Ham and he had 3 brothers so the people they found might not be Canaanites but the descendants of one of his brothers as he would have the same DNA as his brothers because they shared the same parents. And he had 11 sons that would share the same DNA.
I am not a geneticist by no means so I am just speculating here.
