It is hard to believe that taking a stand against mutilating women's genitals as part of some sort of cultural/religious event could put a career at risk but it could. The left will come after her because she is taking a stand against radical (even perhaps moderate) muslim tradition. When you juxtaposition things such as female genital mutilation, the "women's march" and women's rights and gender equality etc as espoused by the left it is impossible to reconcile.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - Can you provide a list of other cultures and/or religions that practice this (FGM) as a rule? What I have said is the left seems to embrace the radical muslims even to the point they are willing to let them in as refugees or from countries we cannot properly vet. They do not openly embrace it but they do not openly condemn the culture this comes from, they appear to embrace it.

Cpl Jeff N. - The left does not embrace radical Muslims. Just because people don't want to stereotype an entire group of people doesn't mean they embrace the extremists in that group. There are extremists in all religions.

I'm not getting into the refugee debate. It's been done.

I asked you to provide a list of non muslim countries that practice FGM as a cultural/religious practice. I notice the list did not come with your last response. We both know the list doesn't exist.

Allowing thousands of people that support the second class status of women in their culture to include things like arranged marriages, FGM, covering themselves in public, not being allowed to drive or to be on public by themselves (some of these vary by country) into our country is not good for women. They also like to kill gays and have many other barbaric practices in crime and punishment as practiced through Sharia law. There are, of course, varying degrees of the practices in Sharia law by country but none of it aligns well with our laws.

It is nothing short of amazing to me how people can be so hypocritical, hiding behind the word "religion". The offenders twist that word and use it to their own devices, will say how wrong it is to kill an animal, but think nothing of mutilating another human being. We need more people like this actress IMO who are willing to speak up, because the silence speaks volumes as well.

No wonder certain congress critters are working so hard to rid themselves of AG Sessions. Isn't it amazing that a law that has been on the books for 20+ years has either not been prosecuted or successfully prosecuted.
Will wonders ever cease?
