This is not a violation of OPSEC. First off, things don't get released until someone in PAO looks at it. Talking about this: "Over the last week videos and pictures posted by Kurdish activists on social media show flatbed trucks delivering U.S.-made MRAP, M-ATVs, and up-armored bulldozers into Syria. Military officials say these vehicles are not part of the U-S.-led coalition's aid to Kurdish allies on the ground who are currently engaged in a tense street-by-street urban battle in Raqqa — ISIS’s self-proclaimed capital." That's not OPSEC violation.

They posted about what Kurds are posting on social media and then the military said those weren't part of the US coalition. So what's the OPSEC violation?

Some of what the Kurds post is posturing, and trying to get people over guess their strength....Deception.... needs OPSEC.

To each his or her own but this is not an OPSEC violation from what I read in the article.

I agree. I recently read an article (from a reputable US news source) discussing how bad it was for Turkey to release slides showing all the US bases and outposts (including several classified locations) in the Middle East. The paper also had to reproduce the offending slides, just in case all of our enemies did not get them the first time. Of course, this article is even worse because it is the military times for gosh sakes.
