Trump warns Mueller against investigating his family's finances beyond Russia probe

"Trump during the interview said he wasn’t ruling out firing Mueller as special counsel on the probe into Russian meddling in the presidential election."

I'm confused as to why he is "warning" Mueller about anything. I don't think as President he should be making any warnings or threats. If something has come up with the family finances in this investigation then let it be looked at. Does he have something to hide? I thought he was all about transparency?

What do his taxes have to do with anything? There is NO right to see his tax returns. Never was. And I fully agree with him that expanding an investigation into things that have nothing to do with the investigations main point is wrong. If you were being investigated for say...tax evasion, would it be ok with you if they decided to investigate you for possible crimes somewhere else? With no probable cause? Regardless of what you will say to that question, I say that is a huge breach of privacy.

It is not a law that the president release his tax returns.
