"Mims faced an admiral’s mast on July 13, according to the Navy Times. He was charged with abandoning watch and dereliction of duty." "We are not disclosing any of the punitive actions taken against him,” Newell told Navy Times. "However, I can say that Mims is facing possible further administrative action."
This means he has already faced NJP right? He was masted. Since they imposed punitive actions against him, he won't face a secondary disciplinary hearing correct?
I am sure that he will be separated, but it will likely be an admin sep under OTH conditions, unless the punitive action was that he should face a court martial. Or am I reading this wrong?

No he had the ADM Mast, as it is no word on a Court Martial pending. I would expect he would have been reduced in rank, and received Half months times two or more as the cost of looking for him. Once they recoup / get what they can back I would not be surprised he gats an OTH and admin sep. Doesn't change the fact he will go down in history and will have to explain to his future kids / grandkids why he is an idiot when the google him.

CPO (Join to see) - Ha! True. I need a sea lawyer from Deck Dept. to make sense of all of this for me.
