You can't blame lack of will power on deployments, if your down range and find the time for extra activities, then your not focused on your duties and job. Draw the line and do your duty. Ive done two deployments and a year in Korea and kept my morals stright. Fortitude and Commentment is what keeps us strong and I just had my 24th Marriage Celebration. So am I one among many?

This: "“I do not want to make any excuses, but you can see from my record that I have been deployed [eight] times for a total of [six and a half] years — practically every other year since 9/11,” Grigsby wrote in response to an April memorandum of reprimand from then-Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Dan Allyn, who accused Grigsby of placing his personal interests “above those of the unit as it prepared for combat.”

It's funny because how many other soldiers have deployed and didn't fraternize nor cheat on their spouse nor risk their unit's morale or safety?

I agree. I absolutely hate the phrase, "I don't want to make excuses...BUT". There is no BUT. You're guilty. Own up to it. If he felt that his career was getting in the way of his marriage and family (which he stated) it was up to him to make the necessary adjustments. He didn't do it and now there's a wake of debris behind him. It's sad.
