Five members of the Canadian military interrupted a peaceful protest last week by indigenous Canadian protesting at the General Cornwallis statue in Nova Scotia over his order to scalp natives back in the mid-1700s. Those five members of the Canadian military are the alt right 'proud boys 'a group of white supremacists. The Canada Red ensign has not been used since 1965 but the Canadian Nazi party and other groups use it today. It's their version of the Confederate flag. A Canadian Vice Admiral and a one-star general both comment recently on a military Facebook page that this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and that the Canadian military Prides itself in diversity. Those five are now subject to military discipline and probable separation from the Canadian Forces. Freedom of speech is one thing but they actually made fun of the indigenous people who were in sorrow over the many that died about 250 years ago.

A caveat... Canadians have free speech but it's (legally) subject to gov't controls...

Legally... by passed law. Even in the US I have yet to see such truly foolish legislation make it past the bar. Even one such law inexistence immediately invalidates the freedom of speech guaranteed by our constitution. As to wether or not these punks deserved full punishment as bad actors in the service of the crown? I am fully for tossing them out on their respective little white boy asses. I understand it doesnt jibe with our freedom of speech laws however, the United States already has a restrictive clause to it's free speech regarding the advancement of political agendas by tax free religious organizations. I find the exception distasteful. I further find that if it is to be applied at all then it must be applied to all religious organizations. INCLUDING Muslim clerics at their mosques.
I truly love it when a proper arguements such as that is thrown up in the face of the liberals. Watching them flail about wildly attempting to claw their way out of the logical box they have fallen into is a sight to see.
