Why wouldn't it be? It seems to work swimmingly.

On the overtime rule, I worked for a consulting company that voluntarily paid overtime for working over 40 hours because they wanted to attract talent in a tight market. My current employer discourages folks from working past 5:00 p.m. each day and sometimes even see Managers chasing them out of the office.........again concern over a tight labor market and work / life balance. Once we get immigration reformed in the H1b and H2 areas we will see more of this. The market taking control of overtime in it's own way. The only reason the Feds had a pass a law in the first place in this area is under Obama they could never get the employment market tight enough and in a lot of cases a flood of immigrants and outsourcing were stagnating wages. We are going to eventually see 3% or less unemployment and once again 3%+ GDP growth and I thank God every day for that change for our country. We have a Economic future again and can finally pull out of our 8+ years of stagnation. I will be able to retire at a decent age with a solvent Social Security system and a solvent pension. Newly discharged Veterans will find it a lot easier to get a decent paying livable wage job.
