What I find so hypocritical and irritating are these "politicians" who sit in their ivory towers, behind a wall of ARMED SECURITY (with weapons that have magazines that hold more than 10 rounds mind you) telling US what we can and can't do! I CALL B S.!! I've said it so many times before it's not the dope on the weapon , its the dope HOLDING it

Misguided effort. If they had only included a grandfather clause, they would have been able to avoid this mess. Maybe it's time to amend the law with such a clause.

Or maybe it's time to ditch the concept altogether.

PO3 Jason M. - Where in the Constitution does it give you the right to magazines bigger than 10 rounds? You can own guns that don't require large capacity, external magazines to operate. So how is this ban a violation of your rights?

PO3 Jason M. - there is no such restriction, just like there is no such right. Yes, 10 is an arbitrary number, but it is a nice round number, like 20 or 30. Heller allows the government to determine that certain restriction are allowable. That includes magazine size.
