Female Rangers Were Given Special Treatment, Sources Say

As a woman I would agree. If they cant do it - they dont get to wear the tab.

But beyond that - even if they can do it - there is a huge price to pay.

My sister, as a cop, has been injured because of females who should not be cops. My sister is a vet (army). She has always pulled her own weight and then some. But we are big scottish/german girls with lots and lots of natural muscle mass. Sort of genetic background where when the cow died you hooked the plow to the wife. Im 5'7" and shes 5'9". We can both lift and leg press more than most women and alot of men - even when out of shape.

BUT - womens bodies are different. Even though stronger than many men and most women - my sisters body hurts after 20 years as a cop. She hurts all the time. She has kicked butt and come out on top but after that many years she is damaged. Womens muscles are different medically. Our bones are different. Our nerves are different and we break down faster. Real female soldiers and cops, like my mother and sister, report injuries less often so they do not appear to not be pulling their weight. Workers comp numbers show women less likely to report injuries - but when they do they are perm disability type stuff.

If they earned the tab - wear the tab. But if they earn it - they should consider the long term cost. My sister isnt even 40 yet and she hurts every day...all day. And she still puts on her gun belt and does her job without complaint...except to me. But Im her sister and I dont count.
