No argument here. Liberal elites don't represent working class America. Then again, Conservative elites don't represent working class America. Both know what they can do with their "privilege" status.

I find it interesting how people who don't have anything to do with the college admissions process love to talk as if they know how the college admissions process works. That article references only a tiny handful of institutions, so the evidence is much more anecdotal than confirmatory. These experiences aren't generalizable to all colleges. A distribution exists, and it sounds like a conservative-leaning outlet has cherry-picked the tail end of the distribution that pushes their narrative. I've been involved in the admissions process now at three large, private, and highly ranked institutions...and the process has been nothing like what was mentioned in that article. And, many of the admissions people I've met along the way are some of the most conservative people I have ever met in my entire life. Even more, many of my faculty mates are also very conservative. In my opinion, this "liberal elite" rhetoric regarding universities is just a straw man argument. It's nothing more than a means to undermine anything flowing from institutions that focus on sustaining and expanding the knowledge base.

I had little use for Liberalism prior to 2016 and even less now
