Tons of media kept blaming "right wing gun nuts" for this shooting. Isn't it ironic that a left wing socialist is responsible? I knew it was a leftie from the start, 1) that area has some of the strongest gun control laws in the US, 2) he shot at a Repub event, and 3) firing over 50 rounds and missing 95% of his shots? Oh yea very "right wing gun nut"

During Donald Trump's statement, he stated that the shooter has died.

LTC Stephen F. - I hadn't heard that he had died from the wounds until later. I knew he had been shot, just not how severely.

PO3 Steven Sherrill LTC Stephen F. Let's not forget that these Capitol Hill police officers engaged a shooter with a rifle, with their service pistols!

LT Brad McInnis - I imagine that when they were told that they would be babysitting a baseball practice they had no idea that they were going to be doing something heroic before the day started. Pretty impressive that they were able to cover the ground necessary, and subdue the shooter while taking fire.
On another note, it is also a bonus that the shooter used a bolt action rifle. Had it been a semi automatic rifle with a large magazine this could have been a far more tragic incident.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - That's the problem with all these people that protest 1st responders. They have no idea how quickly things can deteriorate to where they may not make it home that night. Sometimes, they get things wrong, but the vast majority do the right thing in very difficult jobs.
