There's no question that some there will be some level of recidivism with offenders. That doesn't change the fact that locking people up for the rest of their lives is wrong. No one I know is advocating releasing people for no reason. In the case of the lady in the article maybe she needed to be in a drug treatment program. I don't know if she was. Some will make it some won't. People on both sides of the political aisle agree however those inclined to disagree with empirical tend to be you know who.

The lady released from prison who came back in prison ok and the story in the USA Today article seem to be even-handed but you made it spiteful toward conservatives. Now it's my turn to make it spiteful to those who were once in power like President Obama who don't think things through. President Trump is making his mistakes but so far the Democrats who voted for him are happy that at least 10% of what he promised is gone through. So far it seems Obama Care is better than what he proposes but that may change in time. So you put out the red meat well I'm giving you the red meat that's walking around looking like a female but still as a traitor and still has caused loss of life and people to flee because of a drug and depression problem and mental issues that should have kept him out of the military.
