Another thing, if you go back in time to the period of the older pictures, what was the US supporting? Not what your implication is. In addition, there is a lot of others more responsible for the current state of affairs going way back before WWII. You may want to teach yourself some world history using materials from all around the world to insure that you are not indoctrinated with the liberal BS politically correct version of history. Maybe you could start with the classics that have survived over the centuries and the past couple of millennia. What is even more unfortunate in the realm of history is the applauding of the destruction of historical artifacts and text, by the current crop of politically correct liberal professors.

Don't take it personally, but the image has made its way through several groups, so it was a somewhat "canned" response on my part, and not meant to be limited to just that particular image (just the point its trying to make).

That said, you're right with regards to historical influence, however it wasn't until the modern-era Russian/American power struggle in the region that the majority of the current regimes got solidified. Even the effects of the British Empire's meddling in the region has been virtually eliminated by way of Russian/US involvement.

This isn't liberal BS, or the politically correct version. In fact, it's quite the opposite, and is usually NOT politically correct to point out that many of the current regime problems in the Middle East are a direct or indirect result of American involvement, especially with respect to Afghanistan.
