If all that is correct it should be easy to overturn the fees. I had the same situation and I got it corrected

My ex husband left his car at my house during deployment. I was not given a poa for it, so with having no registation, exspired tags and no insurance, the city came after me. In the state of Texas, I was arrested 4 times for this. The car had to stay with me because we were still legally married, but I had no rights to it.

That's a bunch of bull. Why doesn't the one's that did it pay the bill. He was serving his country and that's how we pay him back.

You have to give them the ok to open your mail. I was a Army wife for 15 years. I had to have a Power of Attorney to do a lot of things, and as there were still restrictions. I am someone that will ask first even if I was previously given permission. If I thought it was extremely important, I would weigh it out before opening it.

Yolanda Parker - as I have said in a previous comment, they can always tell their son they are getting notices from the Texas Toll Commission and it looks important do you want us to open it and take care of it or leave it till you get home. Again most people know not to ignore letters from their office because it means bad news. That’s why I have them email me my account info so if I were to get a notice in the mail I know something is seriously wrong and to get in touch with them right away.

These people failed to do it one way or the other. They failed to protect their son from this type of problem by not taking it into their own hands and dealing with it from day one. If the son had his entire family’s cars on his Texas Easy Tag Toll account they they are just as responsible to open those letters as he is and to pay those fines and back fees.

A lot of tolls in Texas are unmanned. You can purchase a prepaid electronic reader for your windshield.

Driving South on 93 the left lanes are not marked. When I lived there back in the 80s I remember there was the 93/293(?) split right there by the liquor store. It was always my understanding that if you took the side loop there wasn't a toll. Guess I was wrong. Next time you are through there take a look.

I know the stretch of roads between Texas and Oklahoma, for toll roads, is ridiculous! Don't they have an automated system like Colorado does? At least they have something for them....Colorado traffic and drivers, are just like those in California, Oregon, and Washington.......JERKS!!!
