Sad..... feels like I wasted 3 tours in Afghanistan. And America wasted 16 years!

I really don't think the Taliban needs to provide governmental services. The rural non-Taliban people appear incapable of revolting from Taliban rule.
Stability and security are very important to nation building. Without it there can be capricious and violent changes. It is hard to improve society when there is not stability and security.
