Perhaps it is time after 67 years of US presence on the Korean peninsula covering their butts it is time to pack up and go home... the Korean President thinks he can suck up to the Chinese and North Koreans... the only thing he will end up sucking on will be a North Korean nuclear missile...

I remember an inbriefing by the CG of the 2ID (MG Jack Woodall) who told us by 2000 the US Army would be out of Korea as the ROK military would be able to defend the peninsula alone. That was 1988. We are no longer patrolling the DMZ and the 2ID is a hallow division North of Seoul so there is some progress, but I doubt if we will ever leave, unless Korea is unified. South Korea needs the US military whether they like it or not.

The South Korean President wants and environmental study because of THAAD. I wonder if he will do a study for North Korean missiles. I think they can be a health hazard.
