With the military looking to move to a new round anyway, why wouldn't they do the intelligent thing, and conduct this integration when the new weapon system and round are chosen.

M855A1 is my small round of choice......they don't even give specifics, just enhanced...!

Ok I've been out for a while so I'm a little confused. All branches already fire the NATO 556 round (civilian 223). What am I missing here PO3 Steven Sherrill?

The new EPR (Enhanced Performance round) is the new Solid copper slug with a steel penatrator tip and into the slug. they give no specifics exept "Enhanced"Higher FPS too. It replaces the green tip.
