What is it, does everyone have it, even if they got in in 1988 for enlistment? Have 2 breaks in service.

LTC Stephen B. - I have 17 yrs 3 months and some change. So it would NOT benefit me to change as I would have nothing to put in it except for the 2 years and change I have left! not only that but even if I maxed out (and could afford to) and put my hole check it there from this day forward till 2-10-2020 I might have 5 grand to retire on! how the hell is that a good deal! Boy the previous admin screwed us to our knees! and DRY!

SGT Bryon Sergent - "Grandfathered" means those that are in the current pension program will stay in the current system and will not be affected by the new retirement program. They will earn the retirement that was in place on the date they first enlisted or were commissioned.
