Excuse me, this plane is 165 billion dollars is a billion dollars over budget! How f'd up is that what they're asking for more money we could have avoided quite a bit of sequestration from the other services had this plane not gone over budget so much. I'm really pissed off!

LTC (Join to see) Right? It's like dripping some lemon juice on the papercut by saying, "oh, hey! We have this more efficient engine for this clusterflub, but we'll only give it to you if you give us more money. Even though it's a drop in replacement for the engine that's already there."
I wonder if this came about because the contract might come under further scrutiny. I mean, I'm not a business major, but it seems a bit bloated for the product that is given.

SSgt (Join to see) - a year-and-a-half ago and are Majors course command and general staff officer Common Core course we did a section Logistics and I wrote a short paper saying that the logistics people that work in the Pentagon is it was so freaking confusing they get replaced whenever there's a change of the ministration and I was suggesting that they have like a logistics procurement Czar similar to the Federal Reserve board where that person stays with a tenure of 10 years that way when there's a change of administration's you have continuity because this plane is six years behind schedule everything was wrong with it it was rushed all of the checks and balances were overwritten the president in this case President Bush over Road the normal prototype review and quality control any approved it even in the Prototype stage even before they we find it completely so you think that the two main engine manufacturers would have gotten together and come out with a good solid power plant I remember reading couple years ago that single-engine it's based on the Dual engine F-22 wasn't very reliable and it was all souped up for single engine and they've been tinkering with it ever since I here's the problem: the Australians and the Canadians have already backed out of a plane because it's taking too long to get into full production period two years ago they were already supposed to have over a thousand of them built and I think they had 165 built. Does they have been all information I'm sure it's changed a lot since then. This is been a total cluster foxtrot if you know what I mean. So when recap 165 billion dollars over budget seven years behind schedule and they want more money? No way!

LTC (Join to see) - Not only no way, but Hell No!!! A position like that would be handy, but would be hard to ensure that person doesn't fall prey to the political machine. Needs to be someone w/ the best interests of the military at heart, not their own job security & pocket book.
LtCol Boyd is rolling & cussing in his grave at this plane.
