One of the more interesting conversations I've been engaging recently is how to market cybersecurity to executives. The winning element seems to be effective communication and knowing one's audience. Being able to sell the importance of not just the profession, but the real dangers and presenting that information in a way that really grabs an executive's ear is the key to success. Typically this will mean breaking the conversation down to dollar signs. Illuminate how much and unmanaged or vulnerable asset could potentially cost should said asset be exploited.
