In a comparison, Hollywood wrote a letter to DC asking for continued arts funding... I think a couple of hundred million. How much does Hollywood make? How is it they can't privately fund some of this? Now to science? Apple has near 110 billion (what I heard) offshore doing nothing... not being invested? Intel, Oracle, IBM, Amazon, where is their science investment!?
