You do realize that these same arguments were made over and over again against the Hillary probes right??? No one seemed to care about Hillary's missing 30,000 emails, her destroying her hard drives after a congressional subpoena.

Maybe we could actually come to a consensus that more oversight of the Federal Government is a priority right now, but more than likely the liberals will continue to play the it's okay when democrats defend themselves against horrible Republicans game.
Federal Corruption just needs to stop, I firmly believe that federal investigations of corruptions need to be investigated by a collection of the states.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - Like what the senate was supposed to be before it became bastardized with the 17th Amendment. The Senate was originally supposed to protect states rights as they were appointed by State Legislatures not voted for by the people. Now they are more concerned with garnering political power and seeking reelection rather than promoting their State government. There certainly are pro's and cons to each method of senator selection, but clearly the current Senate has no ability for non-partisan judgement.

MCPO Roger Collins - Just go with the wiki references and you are good most of the time. Wikipedia is a very common source cited by many intelligent people, just don't use it for a professional paper or college course, college professors seem to think the only source for credible research is other college professors ;)

MAJ (Join to see) Isn't that the reason that Trump was elected to begin with - i.e. To drain the swamp?

Yes, and while we can expect some bumps in normal operations he needs to drain his own staff as well. Executive privilege (where the president can exempt information for congressional release) needs to be repealed, he should only have the authority to exempt it for public release.

I believe that Mr. Flynn has learned from the past and the prosecution against Scooter Libby. Any testimony from Mr. Flynn can and would be used against him which is what got Mr. Libby in trouble with the FBI. As far as the documents go, who in the right mind would release anything to this government on either political side. They have been shown to be less then honest and secure with information. This will all go to the lawyers and they can sort it out.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - You are correct. You are answering the question as to why would anyone not take the 5th. My point- an investigation can go anywhere, and in the case of Libby the Investigation was about Whom leaked Plame's name as a FBI agent. It was not Libby. But he was convicted and not the person who leaked the name. // Since we are on crimes when will Humma or Weiner or Hillary go to jail. Classified documents are on their computers. Your are or were a 1SG. Could you have classified information on your NIPR computer and send it to your home computer?

LTC (Join to see) - i have no trouble with Flynn taking the fith he has every right to do so/ Unlike trump I do not believe exercising your rights is an admission of wrongdoing. The closest thing I will come to criticizing that choice is to mock Trumps and others hypocrisy on that issue.

I do have trouble with him refusing to honor the subpoena. I believe that doing so is a felony under the US code.

Some here, not you, cannot tell the difference between evidence and testimony.

I agree. I'd also add what a dumpster fire GO Flynn is. There should be a law where if you are a Sr military member you will not profit off of your rank with foreign powers. I don't see how that is not espionage in itself.

LTC (Join to see) - There is a a law that forbids foing tha without the express persuasion of both State DOD , A law that it appears he broke on alt least two occasions once with a ally and once with an opponent.

The Constitution also has a clause forbidding what he did

To think many Trump supporters expected Sally Yates to be the one pleading the 5th. LMAO!
