There's no room in the court system for politics. Unfortunately, the higher you get in the court system, the more political it tends to be.

Judges seldom adjudicate; more, they are making law. Through misinterpretation, or interpretation that fits their political or personal goals. Their decisions constantly erode the rights of the majority to benefit the wealthy and influential. Their interpretation of law or more specifically, their dictation of law, protects the rights of the accused, which is what it was designed to do, however, it was not designed to ignore the rights of the victim.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Yes sir I realize that, having a B.A. in Political Science. Judges at state and lower courts ARE elected.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - cool - my B.S. was a double major, Political Science and Sociology. Have you ever thought about law school?

Capt Gregory Prickett - Yup,I thought about it during my senior year of high school, because that's what my mom wanted me to do. Once I figured out that it wasn't what *I* wanted to do, I stopped looking. I'd probably be pretty good at it because I love arguing (especially when I know I'm right) and I'm a reg Nazi. But what's done is done. I can barely stand my online school course; I don't think I could handle 3 years of law school and the kids of today. Too old for that sh*t.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - Only if you want to be too old. I graduated from law school at age 56, completed it in 2-1/2 years by taking full loads both summer sessions.
