Nothing. This kind of extremist activism doesn't happen overnight. If she, my daughter or sister, had reached that point, I probably would have tried everything I could have possibly done to help her all along. There comes a point where you have to let them live their own consequences.

That's equality.

She isn't sick, she is just too naive and ethnocentric. Sickness is usually a condition that can be treated or cured. In her case she is too wrapped up in her own ideals to understand that not all cultures or societies conform to western values. This is a case when a college education backfires, you're supposed to learn critical thinking and problem solving with an open mind. However her mind is too narrow, like tunnel vision. Jane Fonda was/is the same way. Her wordpress blog and twitter feed is full quotes manipulated and twisted to fit her ideals.

In this situation the family can't do anything until she is ready to leave. Unfortunately, with Turkey in the hands of the Islamists, when she does decide to leave she probably won't be able to without her husband's permission.
