I was in Kandahar from 2010-2011, the Canadians took their share of losses, they had lots of domestic pressure to pull out after the suicide bombing.

The Taliban only has to out wait the Coalition partners. The Afghan government doesn't seem capable of holding together outside of Kabul.

Yes, the Afghan Government. Didn't we install an oil company executive as our proxy in the first place..Karsai (spl?). Saw how that went for us. The warlords had no respect for him so that was kind of a bust. Nation building has never been our strong suite.
Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Panama, Philippines ... and a host of others.

The sky was lieutenant colonel in the reserves did a great job in Afghanistan he was selected to be the equivalent of Secretary of Defense in Canada and he just blew it by bragging to a bunch of people from India and now it's backfiring on him. He has done a good job up to this point but he stepped on his own Bouncing Betty he did it himself just like Hillary Clinton did it to herself but she's blaming the FSB she's blaming FBI she's blaming WikiLeaks but it was what she said or what she didn't do that got her in trouble.

I do not get why these people embellish when they have great records of service anyway!

I guess like they say power corrupts absolutely to go from a lieutenant colonel in the reserves to Secretary of Defense just like that because you're buddy-buddy with pretty boy prime minister Justin Trudeau?
