Illinois and California have the tightest gun control laws and crime is higher than in Indiana, Texas, and South Dakota. Politicians want your guns, so they allow criminals to rule the streets. Once they have your guns, they will then take any right away they feel stops them from ruling over you. Make officials obey the laws of twenty years ago concerning guns. You would see a difference.

This is why I believe you should have to complete training before allowed to carry a firearm.....Do not like the Constitutional CCW bill, you will see more of this if just anybody can carry.

I grew up in South Miami in the early 70s. It was wild then, and got even worse after we let Castro dump his prison population on us.
I honestly believe that if we had mandatory carry in the country, we would experience a six-month spike in gun violence, followed by twenty years of a VERY polite and VERY well-behaved citizenry.
The ne’er-do-wells and the Darwin Award candidates would either self-correct themselves, or be corrected through societal enforcement of the law in short order. Road rage would be replaced with happy waves and polite smiles.
To paraphrase the old saying, “God made men. Sam Colt made them all equal”. People are much less likely to ‘slap leather’ and act the fool when everyone around this is packing protection.

Back in the 80's, I was stationed in a very rural part of northern California. I carried a 1911 in my truck at all times. I was more concerned with my safety than breaking the rules. I spoke to the local Sheriff about it one time and he told me, "Around here everyone has a gun in their car. All my deputies expect it and are not concerned unless you are a crook."
