Interesting read. I'd quibble with some of the information presented about the 916. They said it was replaced by the 911 but the 911 had already been in production for several years and sales were declining at $10k a 911 so the $14K of the 916 was probably right out.

It shares a lot parts with the 914 and 914/6, I love those cars. The mid engine design makes them handle very, very well. Here is a picture of one of my 914s.

Put your hand over the front of the F-88 and it is all Corvette....! Some nice cars there...
