The Dems lost the election. Not just the White House, but also Congress (as well as many state houses and governor's mansions). We the People spoke. Now it's time for Congress to get a backbone and stop trying to mollify the cry babies.

True.
Sad that they need to degrade so.
What they could do is focus on personal constructive performance improvement on their side.
But instead they tail spin into lunacy.

I'll simply re-post here my comment on the thread on the same topic posted some 30 minutes prior to this one.

"About time! Since Democrats first started using the 60 vote requirement to get closure to vote on nominations when Bush 43 was president ... and then partially undid that requirement to get Obama's nominations confirmed by a simple majority, less Supreme Court nominations, this has been a roll-back waiting to happen. A number of old saws apply here. "You reap what you sow" fits pretty well as does "if you play with fire you'll get burned"." Things sure look different "when the shoe's on the other foot" and "good for the goose, good for the gander" also applies. My favorite, though, is "payback's a bitch." Suck it up Schumer and move on ... and count your blessings that Republicans didn't [yet] eliminate the 60 vote requirement for closure on legislation as well."
