You've heard him say it before, to settle isn't an admission of guilt in court. But yes, he indeed is a fraud.

Not to say that this was not bad business, but does anyone honestly believe that Mr. Trump put together the curriculum for this university, or that he ensured that every part of the process for accreditation process was approved and resolved before classes started? Is it not more likely that Mr. Trump just thought something along the lines of, I'm one of the worlds principal businessmen, I want to open a business school. In that scenario, Mr. Trump would likely just tell some employees what he wanted, and leave it to them to make sure the school was opened and accredited appropriately. I have great difficulty believing that Mr. Trump had much to do with the school beyond telling others to make it happen. How much he knew of what was going on is very unclear. Mabey he was aware of problems, however with his level responsibilities, I could easily envision where he legitimately might not be aware until it was far to late.

He would indeed have to own up to shady business within his company in that case, however him personally being criminally negligent or responsible is an entirely different matter in those circumstances. Much the same as if one of your soldiers gets busted selling drugs around the unit. It looks very bad on the leader, but at the end of the day, could they really have done anything?

MSG Mark Million - And that is why we have a court system of justice. If it had gone to court, we might have found out just how directly or indirectly he was responsible or had knowledge. But it was settled out of court so once again we'll never know.

Didn't realize that this was still an open item. This was an affirmation of the original settlement made in January that had been challenged by a claimant who wanted to opt out in order to seek an apology from the GOP. She's a lawyer who ought to know that a settlement is the defendant's way of saying "I'm not guilty, your honor, and I'll never do it again." and "I agree to compensate these folks for the money I took from them for that thing I won't do again."
