Just more stupidity to make an already ridiculous process even more ridiculous. And I am sure that this is going to result in about eight hours of mandatory training, because you know there is going to be a new awards form that will have to be utilized.

I had never heard of an achievement medal with a V device. Seems to me that if the action qualified for a V, then it should at least warrant a commendation medal by definition.

ARCOM with V are awarded, a Soldier from our BN received one in Iraq. A Navy/ Marine Corps Commendation medals with V are awarded more frequently than BS's in the Marines it seems.

Does this mean I need to get a C for my "thanks for coming" ARCOM and AAM? Seriously though... there's no need for this...
