‘Fearless Girl’ Statue to Stay in Financial District (for Now)

On March 7, 2017 a small statue of a little girl was installed (prior to international woman's day) in the financial district of lower Manhattan. Her bronze complexion boldly staring into the eyes of the iconic “charging bull” of wall street, which has stood for 28 years as a symbol of “aggressive financial optimism and prosperity” (wikipedia)

Even though this statue is a symbol of female equality and feminism, I also think it also emphasizes the American spirit as well. Sadly, this statue is not permanent and there is an ongoing debate regarding its fate.
