I think the evacuee might still consider the flight to be somewhat scary, SSgt (Join to see)!

LTC Stephen C. oh, come on, sir! who doesn't like to ride w/ the windows down (or non-existant)?

SSgt (Join to see), I'm sure the photo shows an open door merely to demonstrate an individual could lie in the prone position with a degree of comfort. Most certainly the patient would be strapped in and a door of some sort would be closed.
My thoughts are the patient looks forward and sees an empty seat, or more likely, no seat at all. That would give me some cause for concern!

LTC Stephen C. - definitely, but I can see a good purpose for it on those that are wounded and need evac, but do not require immediate attention - say broken bone, but not a severe fracture. These DEFINITELY would not be good use for those that are suffering severe trauma and potential of going into shock.

Looks like a fun toy, but I just don't see it replacing a full human Medevac team.
Now if I could get in, program it to fly me to work, and then catch a nap until I got there, then I'm all for it. I don't know how ATC would like a small UAS doing NOE all over the place though....

SSG(P) (Join to see) the more i think about it, i'm envisioning mass chaos in the sky if there were a swarm of these leaving an active zone. Risk of collision with each other. What happens if a catastrophic system failure occurs & there is no way to report it or recover?

SSgt (Join to see) - True. The only contact these things would have with ATC is their automated transponders.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - unless they were being piloted remotely, like the Reaper or Global Hawk.
