You can say that you were there...! We were probably at one of our 6 CMTC prep deployments when this was being decided!!

Sir, I don't think anyone should be surprised. As you and I know, the Serbs identify with their Slavic protectors, the Russians. Yet conversely, Yugoslavia wasn't in Warsaw Pact. So I doubt they have a perspective from which joining NATO could ever seem advantageous.
