The old XV250 Virago is a nice beginner bike. V-twin engine produced enough power for real highway speeds, it's light and the center of gravity is low. OTOH, if you are leaning toward cruisers, the V-Star 650 wouldn't be a bad choice and you won't outgrow it immediately.

With my disability. I ride a 2015 Honda PCX 150 Metallic Black. Twist and go and a little tweaks I can run up to 70mph. I enjoy it so much. I want to get a Suzuki Burgman 200 but this will do. I have to get my funding straight first before I go baby Burgman lol Salute 07

A1C Charles D Wilson - Thanks for the link, I will definitely see if they are available here. Shipping stuff from the US, especially small stuff, nearly doubles the price, so looking for a local supplier can sometimes be fun.

SSgt Mark Lines - Check out the forum. There are a few other brands also. Some come from your area. So shipping should be easier on you than it is here.

Here is a Japan made part also. Closer to you. I have been looking at the seats from over that way and waiting to order one for mine with the back rest and moved back 2in.

I like the options they offer. I do want the one to still be able to place my full face helmet under the seat.

Update. Just got my riding jacket and new windscreen in. She will now run 73mph gps and that is fast enough for my old butt. lol She is running fine and taking good care of me. I hope to have the exhaust done next. She runs so quiet I can not hear the motor at all and prefer to be loud (not to loud). "Loud pipes saves lives!" She was pulling like she wanted more but I said no lol

Just sold my sons Ninja 250 to a guy who took his BRC this past weekend. My son rode it for a year and half after he got his license.

The 250-300cc sport bikes are great for beginners. They are light and easy to handle, but have a surprising amount of power when you wind them up above 10,000 RPM. With a good rider, on a downhill mountain road they will smoke a 600cc and up sport bike. They also are fairly inexpensive to buy and insure.
