LTC (Join to see) - It depends on the situation. I think only a southerner could tell the difference between it being genuine and sarcastic. For example: if someone were to say "I got 4 babies by 4 different men" and a southern lady replies:"Well, bless your heart" she's really saying "Damn you are a skank". But southern manners don't allow saying it out loud.
