I agree, he did not provide specifics. Maybe he's growing up. Maybe he is starting to recognize he doesn't write laws...Congress does. Maybe he's recognizing there will be many compromises necessary to get 51 or 52 GOP votes on it. Maybe he doesn't want to make specific claims publicly about a law that hasn't passed yet...claims like, "you can keep your doctor, period."

Yes. I heard points I agreed with him on and then found myself dismissive a few times also.

Right on, Sir (except for the part about the 70 year old father/grandfather, multi-billionaire business magnate, winner of a historic political upset, POTUS "growing up", which I would respectfully say is maybe not the appropriate term). Not only does the president recognize that the Congress makes laws and the executive branch implements them, but I think that the person tasked with managing what is probably the world's largest bureaucracy should be a generalist. He sets the overall direction for U.S. policy, and those underneath him hammer out the specifics. It makes good sense to me.

No problem. I'm always intrigued to how he'll talk and if he'll directly or indirectly respond to specific questions on policy.

He reminds of going to ask the commander or 1SG a question. They talk for 20mins, dont answer your question, adds a story about them in it, when they finish I just "roger" and move out more confused than I was when I went in there. lol
