A long read, but informative.

TL;DR: Oil rich nations do not capitalize because of greed, corruption...and arguably US intervention.

Interesting photo from the article. (above)

Erdogan is nothing but a muslim brotherhood dictator wannabe, believed to have staged a self coupe to destroy Turkeys secular armed forces, his intentions could be the creation of a "caliphate", he has already invaded northwest Iraq as well as northeast Syria and is attempting to control those areas.
Sooner or later the United States ( and lately Russia) will be faced with having to act to stop Erdogan, for all purposes Turkey cannot be trusted as a NATO member, they are set on destroying the Kurds in Turkey, Iraq and Syria, Kurds are the best dependable allies the US has in the region.
In MHO is time to do the right thing for the Kurds and block erdogans ambitions.

Turkey is the sick man of Europe again that wasn't joking name given to Turkey or the what used to be called the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century. That dictator can forget about joining the European Union.

Like to add that Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria, all got parts of what once was Kurdistan, time to set things right for the only reliable partner the US has in the region.
