UPDATE: I did a little digging and found out on another report the site in question is more than has been stated previously. Worse than I thought. It is located at:

I have three parts to this scenario...please read entire post before commenting:
1.) Why would anyone agree to the taking of photos of them nude. I don't understand it but I know that is a personal choice. In the past, people that did that did it with a camera and film where the photos could be protected if that is what they wanted to do. Nowadays everyone takes photos with their phone and posts immediately. Personal responsibility is part of this scenario. In todays world Social Media is like a rampant disease. If you post something it can get spread throughout the world within the matter of minutes. Friends of friends of friends post and repost and before you know it your business is all over the internet. And just because you deleted them, doesn't mean they don't still exist. I agree with the fact that if you posted nude pics on the internet without proper security measures and willingly and someone reposted them I don't see any illegal activity...you put them out there to be seen on your own accord. It will have to be demonstrated that the pics were taken without consent before any action can be taken.
2.) HOWEVER, of these photos were taken without consent and posted then the personnel involved should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. Those that commented with the derogatory and harassing comments should be prosecuted as well as they perpetuated it. Again, if no consent was given and the pictures were taken without their knowledge and posted, the burn them at the stake and make a point that others will see that this type of behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. I do feel sorry for these females as now the folks in their unit will only see them as sex symbols versus Marines that they worked hard to attain that title.
3.) If personnel hacked into an account and reused individuals pictures without consent, then prosecute them as well. A personal social media account is just that, a personal social media account. Not to say you shouldn't post revealing photos of yourself or say something that is wrong but it is your site, not anyone elses. Perpetuating women in this fashion is not tolerable and needs to be dealt with. It goes against good order and discipline. It only breeds contempt and mistrust in an organization. Personally, I really hate most social media because everyone thinks it is an acceptable means of communication and the would post things and say things that they would never say or show in a face to face conversation. The art of looking someone in the eye when lambasting them is gone. If you are going to do it, do it to their face and own up to it. The people on this site have no business promoting what they are promoting and they need to be stopped. To threaten the author and state his wife needs to be raped is morally and ethically wrong. These people are not right and need to be stopped immediately.
I really hate this for the Marine Corps as they are a professional warfighting machine and really don't need this type of publicity. 10000 great things can be erased by one bad one and the bad one will be the one they are remembered for. There are bad apples in every group and they need to be plucked out and tossed away to not impact the rest of the bunch.

A nude photo scandal has shaken the entire Marine Corps
Some Marines allegedly advocated sexual violence. Some want the combat veteran who exposed them to be killed.

I know the Marines are better than this, I have worked with some damn fine Marines in the past. You know what they say, a few bad apples will spoil the bunch. I think this will make the Armed forces stronger in the future because the problem has come to the surface instead of lying at the bottom.

Grrrrr....
Ok first off this is so much worse than at first glance. Not only were nudes, semi nudes or personal photos posted / stolen from other sites, these women's Base and commands where being listed. They were being digitally stalked by 30 Thousand members of a Face Book group....
Just ... how can anyone justify this. I do not blame the Corps, they did not create this, though should we find out any High Ranking member was part of that Group there should be swift and punitive action for failure to report a crime. Then again ANY currently serving member that was part of the Group should face charges for failure to report a crime.
I see people on the web already trying to blame the victims, to that I will respond! We see Men and Women allow them selves to be recorded and photographed in their most compromising moments by people they think love them. They do things demanded of them by Narcissists or in a drunken moment, or because they are trying to find who they are in a moment of exhibition ... Should they be tormented for the rest of their lives? Should they have to wonder if the Men and Women around them know about the single moment in time? Me I was lucky I did ALL my stupid stuff before the Internet and camera phones.
I have been accused of not living life to its fullest as I live by the Motto "Through Vigilance I am unconquerable." I assume everyone is out to get me, (its only paranoid if they aren't..) just saying. I am sure many of these women were trying to live life to the fullest, sadly Evil people with no morals taught them that life is not care free and this Old Salt's motto is a Truth I wish they had never had to learn.
I hope everyone that was a member of that Group and shared info or accessed that drive gets bounced out with a Dishonorable.
Honor, Courage, Commitment!!!!
