I remember how the Marine Corps taught us to eat Duck. We would Duck into the chow Hall, gulp it down and Duck out.
Once I was discharged, I only ate like that when it dawned on me that my favorite greasy spoon joints were located in neighborhood's that had deteriorated into war zones. But now I eat my Alaskan King crab legs very slowly, so slowly that the drawn butter solidifies.

I saw this manifested in a Dallas,Texas restaurant. A man was scarfing down his steak, and then it got caught in his throat. He jumped up, coughing, and turning blue. I ran out into the other part of the restaurant and shouted, "Are there any medics here.?" Right next to me where I was shouting was an EMT. He came in and the man was ok. His wife screamed at him for along time. She had been warning him about eating too fast. I think he got the message.

SPC Douglas Bolton
Inertesting SP5 Christine Conley . I had the same procedure on my throat. I was an emergency because my throat had narrowed so much I was chocking on any solid food. I am OK now, but I was told I will have repeat from time to time.
